Neal R. Goodman, PhD


Dr. Neal Goodman is an internationally recognized authority in international human resource management and organizational development. Dr. Goodman designs international training programs for the corporate training departments of multinational corporations and international organizations. His programs have helped thousands of corporate executives to be more effective in international settings. Dr. Goodman's programs on team building, international JVs, and diversity in the workplace have been recognized by corporations, government agencies and educational institutions.

Dr. Goodman is the co-founder and president of Global Dynamics, Inc. Global Dynamics is an international consulting firm which designs, organizes and implements cross-cultural training programs. Global Dynamics specializes in training, international human resource development, expatriate training and relocation, curriculum design, strategic planning, organizational development and counseling for organizations who wish to succeed in the global arena. Through the auspices of Global Dynamics, Dr. Goodman has assisted clients from a wide spectrum of the global economy. A frequent speaker at professional meetings and associations, Dr. Goodman is also on the faculty of several corporate universities, he holds the rank of Professor Emeritus of Sociology and Intercultural Studies at Saint Peter's College, and served as a Faculty Associate in the International MBA Program at New York University. Dr. Goodman received his Ph.D. from NYU and has three times been honored with invitations to be a Fellow at the East-West Center in Hawaii. He has lectured at scores of colleges and universities including Georgetown, N.Y.U., Princeton, and U.N.C.

Dr. Goodman has authored numerous books and articles on the globalization of organizations. His publications include: Cross-Cultural Training for the Global Executive and Intercultural Education at the University Level in Improving Intercultural Interactions: Models for Cross-Cultural Training Programs by Richard W. Brislin and Tomoko Yoshida, Sage Publications, 1994. He is listed in "Who's Who in the World," "Who's Who in America," "Who's Who in American Education", and "International Who's Who of Contemporary Achievers." He is often invited to speak on International Team Building, and International JVs and Foreign Owned Subsidiaries at the Global Forum of SHRM. He is the recipient of the 1995 Senior Interculturalist Achievement Award from the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research for his contribution to the field.

Dr. Goodman is the International Forum Field Editor for ASTD's Performance and Practice. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (Sietar) and the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Intercultural Relations and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and The American Society for Training and Development. Dr. Goodman enjoys travel, scuba diving, snorkeling and tennis.
